Research
My dissertation research is to identify alleles from Teosinte conferring resistance to two foliar diseases of Maize, Gray Leaf Spot and Southern Leaf Blight. I am also screening Ex-PVP maize inbred lines for the presence of a gametophyte factor gene. Lastly I am interested in recombining some of the superior GEM selections to create better lines with a significant proportion of exotic germplasm compared to the parental material.
