Research:
Blueberry genetics and genomics. I am currently optimizing blueberry in vitro tissue culture and regeneration to improve transformation frequency and advance towards gene editing. My ultimate goal is to utilize CRISPR/Cas methods for improved firmness in the blueberry genome to improve mechanical harvesting.
