Research Overview

We work on theoretical and applied projects in gene mapping and analysis of gene expression – and on the integration of the two via expression QTL (eQTL) mapping. We believe in an integrated research program combining quantitative methods with experimental approaches. A major focus is translating mapping and expression analysis methods into novel approaches for identifying and characterizing host-pathogen interactions.

We work with collaborators on a number of biological systems, including plant-parasitic nematodes, fungal infections of corn, mouse models of malaria, and various genetic diseases in dogs.
