Pinnacle is an early-season Southern Highbush blueberry variety that produces large, firm, high-quality fruit with good picking scars and post-harvest shelf-life.

Disease Resistance
Pinnacle was not prone to infection by stem blight, stem canker fungal diseases, or blueberry red ringspot virus at the time of release, but it is not considered resistant to any of these diseases.
Cultivar Development
Released in 2013 as a collaboration between James Ballington (NC State) and the USDA. Pinnacle originally tested as selection US508, and resulted from a cross between NC 1408 (Elizabeth x US75) and Bluechip.
