Mountain Regina is a hybrid tomato with dark red fruit that ripen earlier than similar cultivars.

Disease Resistance

Mountain Regina has strong resistance to:

  • Tomato mosaic virus
  • Fusarium wilt race 1, 2 and 3
  • Tomato spotted wilt virus (TSWV)
  • Root-knot nematodes
  • Verticillium wilt

Cultivar Development

Mountain Regina is an F1 hybrid that resulted from the cross of NC 1 LF x NC 2 LF. Both parents are inbred lines developed from the NC State tomato breeding program.
